The reason is simple: Would-be employers who thought they had two years after the extension of Bush tax cuts have learned that Obama plans to run a campaign against the “rich” for 2012. IOW, they will be villified, and if Obama wins those tax cuts will NOT be extended again if he wins with the cuts being the centerpiece of his campaign.
Then there is Obamacare, gross over-spending by the fed, enormous inflation on the horizon, and every indication that manufacturing and housing will be sluggish to no growth.
Obama has attacked job creators again, and they are not stupid. They will sit on their money until the future is a bit less depressing.
The joblessness accounting system set up so as days go by people come on the rolls. But at the same time people are aging off the rolls. There is a balance point that you inevitably reach where the ones coming on offset the ones going off and the percentage number locks in place. A high percentage number is reached and it won’t change until there are fewer people coming on the rolls. Once that tipping point is reached the only change of the number that can happen is down.
I have no doubt that some numbers wizard could give you what that number would be. There are far more unemployed out there than ever get reported.
I bet last weeks numbers were revised upwards (AGAIN) to make the increase look smaller.

How he doesn’t sink into 30% approval with this s*** going on is beyond me.
But we got Bin Laaaaaden!
Remember last year’s “Recovery Summer”? Obama planned to leverage summer seasonal hiring to claim the recovery was happening. Now a year later, there is a continuing decline even during the summer months.
Hey! These green shoots look just like mold!

This should help dwindle that “bump” in the polls.
Heck, economists only off by 62,000.
What are these clowns paid for anyway?
And Canada now has a conservative government. We have a MARXIST government.
Pigs are now flying.
“Unexpectedly”
I guess people just aren’t charging enough stuff to their credit cards. How unpatriotic.
