It would likely be something the military would impose, ostensiblly for 'security reasons', of course, but in reality out of lessons learned from Vietnam:
Keeping politicos too closely in the loop during an end game puts them in the position to loose their nerve and demand a pullback at just the right moment to get a lot of good people killed while accomplishing nothing.
Completely with the military keeping a “need to know zone” around their operations.. Regardless... who the heck truly believes they didn’t document this action completely????
