Or considering that they had tried to prosecute other Special Forces folks, they didn’t want to give them evidence in case something went wrong and Obama needed someone to throw under the bus.

You may be right - the SEAL unit turned off the communication to insure Ozero could NOT change the order and spare UBL. The SEAL unit was going to kill the vile terrorist and no way was Ozero going to chnage that decision.
