There is no reason to doubt that BO will get some degree of bump from this - largely amongst the “independents”, whose support is notoriously soft and fleeting.
Late this summer, when more savings accounts are depleted, gas is $6.15 per gallon, and people can only afford to run their air conditioners in part of the house for part of day, this will no longer be remembered.
As time goes by, this event will seem less important anyway. This is by no means to slight the skill of dedication of those who brought it about, but all it achieved was to kill one particular water moccasin, when the real need is to drain the swamp kill off all of the snakes.
It is more of a blip than a bump. Here today, gone tomorrow.
