In the world of Huff Post/AOL collaboration, UBL was murdered, the CIA is part of the WH, and this was the "most successful counterterrism operation in US history". BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARF!

the CIA's top counterterrorism official once promised to bring bin Laden's head back on a stake

That would have been the smart thing to do.

OBL could have turned himself in.

“The authority here was to kill bin Laden,” he said. “And obviously, under the rules of engagement, if he had in fact thrown up his hands, surrendered and didn’t appear to be representing any kind of threat, then they were to capture him. But they had full authority to kill him.”

To this day they still attribute this western ideal to them about surrendering with their hands up.

They still don’t understand that these people often wear suicide vests and blow themselves up?

It would be bad enough for your average Joe to talk like that, but head of the CIA?

What about those CIA people blown up at a Birthday party?

How long does it take to gain a clue?

The WH staff was in the ‘situation room’ watching direct helmet-cam live-time video.

ALL of the details have come through the WH/SofS. The amount of misinformation released is both astounding and simply not understandable.

The only consistency is the bravery and training of our troops.

No wonder there was no poll bounce for Zero.

The question of how to present bin Laden’s death to the world is a difficult balancing act for the White House.

Horseshit!
Its easy.
Hey world. We killed an evil murdering piece of shit terrorist. You are welcome.

Hmm... I’m having a tough time believing he wasn’t armed. Our guys didn’t drift quietly in through his bedroom window on dandelion seeds. They rappelled down from noisy helicopters, blew doors open and got into a firefight on the ground floor before making their way up to bin Laden’s room. I thought he always kept a gun nearby so what the heck? He had to have heard them coming and he had more than enough time to arm himself.

It’s beginning to sound to me like the Administration wanted to take UBL alive but the SEALS had other ideas. The Administration can’t get the story straight because it wasn’t their game plan.

I have a different take on all this.It seems to me it’s the WH staff along with the CIA and others that is throwing BHO under the bus. The unflattering photo in the Sit room, Rumors of preasure on the pres from HC and LP, but now it’s all Obama’s fault, it was his orders, etc.

I’m left with a question for the liberals in America: Why is it OK to authorize troops to kill OBL and not OK to use enhanced interrogation techniques on him in the event we captured him?

"The question of how to present bin Laden's death to the world is a difficult balancing act for the White House"

Then why is Obambi going to ground zero tomorrow to gloat about it?

"And obviously, under the rules of engagement, if he had in fact thrown up his hands, surrendered and didn't appear to be representing any kind of threat, then they were to capture him. But they had full authority to kill him."

Let's go to the video tape! Mel, are we looking at a case where a tie goes to the runner, here?

Close doesn't describe it, Jerry! Did OBL have his hands in the air before the team was able to squeeze off a couple of rounds? It appears his hands are coming forward and his palms aaaare juuuust beginning to show before we see the first muzzle flash (Ku-POW!) but gee, I dunno, Jerry, it's just too close to call!

Well, Mel, you do have to determine whether OBL is in fact, surrendering at that point. According to league rules, in order to surrender, an opponents hands do have to be above the chest and if we roll the tape again, I don't believe his hands have reached his nipples!

Well, Jer, I have seen close ones in my time, but this has got to rank up there with some of the all-time closest calls! That's it from the booth and back to Tony in the studio...

Oh so what now they want to go after the NAVY SEALS that killed OBL? If that happens, then Obama’s numbers will tank.

When videos of OBL surfaced after 9/11 with him gloating about the murders, he signed his execution warrant. To shot or blown up on sight with no warning and no chance to surrender.
