Given the confusion, can we even be certain that Osama is dead? First he was armed, then he wasn’t, his wife got killed, then she didn’t, they’re going to release an image, they might not. Then, when they have the chance to give us the body, they drop it overboard into the ocean. And, as for not giving Bin Laden’s followers a body to enshrine—the administration gave them the site where he died to venerate by identifying it. That will probably be good enough for many of them.
I’m glad that Osama is supposed to be dead. I’d just like to see undeniable proof.
Doubt and confusion works for them. They want a “deather” movement. They want to keep this story going.
