All I saw was what I already described, and I was not really interested in posting a comment on those threads. I didn't have time yesterday to post my own thread, so it had to wait until today. By then, I'd had time to think about my impressions of yesterday, and so here I am.
Anyway, we're several hundred replies in on this thread, and it looks like a lot of people agree with me. I'm glad I posted this thread.
There were plenty of them, and if you didn't see one to your liking, you should have started a vanity, like you did today.
The fact of the matter is that our party was spoiled when Obama pissed in the punch.
That happened within minutes of the leak that Osama had been killed. Obama took to the airwaves to heap praise upon himself (something he should have left to others) and then to heap scorn upon Bush and his administration. He apparently delayed the announcement until his campaign cronies had awakened all his campaign workers from their drug induced comas to meet in front of the White House armed with Obama re-election posters to cheer on their Messiah.
Yes it was a sad day for Free Republic. The glory that belonged to the American People (all the American People) was glory hogged by the Messiah and it made me sick. But not sick enough to heap scorn on my fellow freepers for their ingrained cynicism. That cynicism is the result of Obama prevaricating on every trivial matter he has spoken on since illegally taking the oath of office.:-)
Say Huck, do you know how fast the Boeing 757 A/C were going when they hit the Twin Towers?
