I think some of that is to limit the damage in the Muslim world. The image of Bin Laden going down with guns blazing plays well in the Arab world.
That makes no sense; we only look weak by failing to get the story straight to start with. I also don’t trust a gubmint like the one we have now that continually BS’s us and tries to redefine history. Jay Carney even said that it was “strange credulity” to think that an 8 yr old intel break on bin laden’s courier eventually led to his downfall, yet that is exactly what has been reported by the CIA and DoD for two days now. Carney is a lying little weasel!
