And Here.
Just take a little time and look around. There are a lot of Freepers who were very proud of what our amazing military and our previous president accomplished.
A friend of mine was in one of the Twin Towers on 9/11/2001, killed merely because he went in to work that day. He was in the broadcast television business and was certainly knowledgeable about the way a newsroom works. I know he would have been celebrating OBL's death but would question this administration's veracity nevertheless.
Sorry about that. It WAS unintentional.
I heard that expressed about five times today in various media interviews. Some caught their error but many did not.
For whatever it's worth, the otherwise great occasion was spoiled by the attitude of the Great American Rat, and his arrogant smarmy attitude... I...I...Me... and "...it really happened, trust me.
You peons not in DC don't need any more information than that!"
So get over it.
“Absence of proof is not evidence of a conspiracy.”
Actually, absesnce of proof PROVES just how good the cover-up actually is. . .
(Gabbing my tin-foil hat)
I guess it’s only natural, but it can be very embarrassing.
I’ll bet the talking heads were mortified, especially if they were Lefties.
Since the picture included a general, an admiral, and the secretary of defense, that seems unlikely.
You're right . . . my indefinite pronouns was too inclusive.
Howz' about "All non-military people in that room photo where Obozo was wearing his golfing outfit hate the military with a passion."?
That makes no sense; we only look weak by failing to get the story straight to start with. I also don’t trust a gubmint like the one we have now that continually BS’s us and tries to redefine history. Jay Carney even said that it was “strange credulity” to think that an 8 yr old intel break on bin laden’s courier eventually led to his downfall, yet that is exactly what has been reported by the CIA and DoD for two days now. Carney is a lying little weasel!
JC
Of course.
There are many poster names that I unconsciously skip on automatic pilot.
It doesn't take long to identify Freepers who are either ignorant, or educated way beyond their intelligence.
Invariably, they confuse opinion with facts and actual argument.
Your comments were well stated anyway, as always.
I count nine "I"s and three "my"s. Of course there could have been fewer and more mention of the troops and each little "I" or "my" might have stung, but that number isn't completely beyond reason.
I guess a lot of how people think about this depends on how plugged in they are to political opinion -- and nowadays more and more people are, so their reactions reflect political considerations.
I missed President Obama's speech and didn't find out about what happened until the next day. I was glad we got Osama and that a chapter may have come to a close.
Sure Obama gets a bump up in the polls, but it wasn't about him. It was about America, about all of us. Too much focus on him one way or the other takes away from what's really important.
Hmmm ... 6 "I"s. That's enough.
Well said. Lots of loonies bubbling to the top now.
Thank you Arasina. I appreciate it.
Thanks the info...I took the “count” from some editorials I read...they went just “I”s, but 24 personal pronouns.
IOW, if everything was all different; then - everything would be all different.
That is the standard talk radio Bush-apologist narrative that leaves out a few small details of what GWB was doing:
All you have to do is search and all these references to Bush taking credit for promoting home-ownership to those minorities that couldnt afford it or even read the contracts (probably many illegals too.) . Then when it crashed these poor bad credit minorities blamed Republicans. Compassionate conservativism was a disaster.
President Bush Mortgage Speech 2002(Helping those w bad credit buy houses)
Early in George W. Bushs first administration, a home ownership initiative was introduced, sometimes referred to as the Blueprint for the American Dream, to close the homeownership gap by 5.5 million minority families. Along with this homeownership initiative, there were other policies implemented to dismantle barriers to homeownership in minority communities.” from :

Here’s a good editorial on Obama’s raging, out-of-control, over-the-top narcissism:
The ‘it’s all about me’ President’:

Here’s a quote:
Second, it was stunning how frequently Obama used the words I, me and my in his speech. He made it all about himself.
Thank you...
The first two links are the same article, and not what I’m talking about. The last one—with the 20 measly replies—is the kind of thing I was looking for. Of course, on a big news day around here, there ought to be many threads like that. But not this time.
