According to the article, while Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was waterboarded, the information about the courier was not obtained during one of those sessions.
The author of the article considers the debate about the effectiveness of waterboarding still undecided.
I, on the other hand, think there should be a waterboarding ride at Six Flags over Gitmo.

These assholes are so flipping shallow its scary. Maybe, just maybe the stinking turd was so tired of having water poured down his snout, he gave up the info before another session started. The cumulative effect of these tactics is to break down a persons will to the point that the talk so as not be subjected to “it” again.

Thank you.
I wonder if Yahoo, a liberal publication, is putting their spin on it, though.
Anyway the left is also against secret prisons, and both sources gave secret prisons credit.

According to the article, while Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was waterboarded, the information about the courier was not obtained during one of those sessions. According to National Review:
U.S. and Pakistani authorities captured KSM on March 1, 2003 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. KSM stayed mum for months, often answering questions with Koranic chants. Interrogators eventually waterboarded him for just 90 seconds. KSM didnt resist, one CIA veteran said in the August 13 issue of The New Yorker. He sang right away. He cracked real quick. Another CIA official told ABC News: KSM lasted the longest under water-boarding, about a minute and a half, but once he broke, it never had to be used again.
Yes, it's true that he give the courier info without waterboarding -- but only AFTER waterboarding broke him.
