No. You're not alone. My first reaction was one of disappointment as I felt the timing was unfortunate Barry being utterly undeserving, his claims to the contrary notwithstanding. My second reaction was "what next?" The law of intended consequences made it hard for me to be jubilant.

By the time I saw images of college age kids celebrating in front of the White House and heard the giddy tone of the media I was saddened as Barky now would be the "come-back kid."

In fact, I thought Andrea Mitchell seemed especially pleased. I don't recall that being her reaction to Saddam's hanging during Bush's presidency.

A mixed reaction from me at best.
