You’re referring to rumors that circulated before the presidential announcement and WH confirmation. Rumors that floated so the press corpse had something to say for the hour or so while they waited for POTUS.
The operation was yesterday at @ 330p EDT, 5/1/11 in the US, not a week ago. (with the time difference, it’d have been early in the am on 5/2/11) The DNA stories accompanied those about the timing being a week ago with a missile or bomb attack vs. an on-the-ground SEAL operation.

After 15 minutes, you will be praying for God to rain ammo on you due to lack of resupply, even in a grunt battalion.
If Special Ops guys engage in anything over about a minute, they might succeed in winning the firefight, but they might fail to reach an extraction point from lack of logistics.
Rule of thumb for reconnaissance guys is to avoid engagement, except perhaps for a raid or ambush or maybe call for fire.

5) Obama, by his conduct on Libya, the betrayal of allies of the USA on he WOT, Mubarack and Kadaffi, shows that he supports the Muslim Brotherhood and the spread of the World Wide Caliphate movement into North Africa and sub Saharan Africa.
Conclusion: I do not believe a thing that Obama does and says. If Osama Bin Laden is dead, I give credit to George W Bush who launched the Bin Laden hunt program years ago.But given the above stated facts, there is more than an even chance that his whole situation was staged to falsely END the hunt for Bin Laden, who may be even now lapsing into a comfortable anonymous retirement in a secret location.Taquiya,a major component of the Muslin Brotherhood that now is daily advising a traitorous president.Given Obamas thuggishness, his history of concealing all of his personal record, I objectively conclude that Bin Laden is alive and well and kicking back somewhere very safe.All the details of Osama Bin Ladens proof of death could easily have been staged. There is no true forensic independent verfication which should have been given as proof to NATO Allies.Indeed the body should have been handed over to NATO for verification of identity.Why was it not? I conclude Bin Laden was not killed.

You are still confusing the pre-official announcement rumors with some facts. The rumor that they got DNA confirmation was based on the rumor that he’d been killed a week ago. Neither is true.
The SEALS emerged with the actual body, from which no doubt DNA was taken for testing. But, no, there is not yet confirmation. But then again, it happened only 24 hours ago. With the body vs. parts following a missile or bomb, and with the witness of Navy SEALS, we can assume that DNA isn’t as necessary, just a good idea to have for doubters.
Every move related to this operation was planned out in excruciating detail and repeated in practice over months with the most skilled of our military, or it would not have succeeded. And, one might also assume, the post-operation movements were equally well planned.
Who seriously questions our Navy’s ability to take a body from the scene of the assassination, back to the base and off to a waiting carrier to conduct a funeral service and burial at sea within 12 hours?

Kristinn, this is THE BEST THING I have read on what happened and who did it. But the explanatory reporting on the JSOC was just extraordinarily good without giving away our secrets. IT CAN BE DONE. The illustrations were very interesting, too.
