I am truly sorry about what happened to you. We experienced something similar with a supposedly "abused" adolescent relative we took in. One severely injured cat later, numerous robberies, vandalism, one fire and on and on later...we returned him. The child psychologist we took him to fretted about what would happen in the future (to others). I put it behind us quickly. There is no cure but incarceration. You may want to read this book. It helps.
