If what we are hearing is true, then IMHO, I would not be surprised if a more consistent scenario is that the US National Command Authority is aware of a massive terrorist strike is already in operation, had been initiated by OSL, and his usefulness as an intel source has been overcome by his threat as an adversary, or as a mechanism to destroy any source which might implicate the Obama Administration.
I’m trying to reason this through as a worldview of what and who the enemy really is, because I do know almost nothing from this Administration is trustworthy.
The death of his couriers appears to have been collateral damage, however, if one were sending a message to other operational adversaries, it probably would have been more favorable for them to have been left alive, to further trail for intel,..or else we already know them.
For the entire operation to have been watched live at the CIA and from the JSOC, took national and theater level planning, cognizance, promotion, approval and grandstanding.
If there were 20-25 SEALs sent in, then the op took more than a week to prepare for 1-2 platoons of SEALs. Maybe 3-6 weeks, granted JSOC can operate on sort notice. Using the Chinooks indicates expedient JSOC logistics.
Maybe assuming complete redundancy, might explain why such a large force was sent in in such an overt fashion.
IMHO, there are many unanswered questions in this truly bizarre report.
I’m getting the impression that this was a very broadcast operation. No covert action involved, unless the covert action accomplished the mission, while what is being reported is the diversion.
