I know exactly what one is. I am just dubious to the orchestrated motives of the punks. Until I see the Obummer signs waving there, I will just mark this up to a rare moment of Americans celebrating a victory. After all, any reason a punk can come up with to celebrate with booze and drugs is usually taken. I could be wrong. Maybe someone will uncover some proof tomorrow that this was staged.

I've been watching the coverage all night, mostly on Fox News, but also CNN. The "tourists" (as Wolf Blitzer called them earlier tonight) started gathering in front of the White House shortly after 10:30pm ET, well before Obummer finally got around to his speech.

As I expected, most of these "tourists" turned out to be college kids, streaming off the Metro in DC, and mostly George Washington University students, which is only a few blocks away from the WH. The crowd in front of the White House grew VERY quickly, I'm sure summoned by their friends via text msg and Twitter, etc. The crowd got so big they spilled into Lafayette Park, across the street from the White House.

For the past 3 hours, as I watched the live video, I saw several Obama/Biden signs (the blue 2008 campaign signs), plus other blue Obama campaign signs like "Change We Can Believe In", one said something like "ONE World", etc. I did see one guy with an old Bush/Cheney sign.

Geraldo got out into the middle of the crowd... most of the kids seemed elated and chanted "USA! USA!", but there were a few who managed to shout praise for "President Obama". Some were shouting: "Obama! Obama!"

Also in the crowd there were a few former Marines who happily said a few words, one said he had served in Afghanistan. THAT was nice...
