SNIP
Bush called the operation a momentous achievement that marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001.
I congratulated him and the men and women of our military and intelligence communities who devoted their lives to this mission. They have our everlasting gratitude, the former president said in a statement. The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done.
Former President Bill Clinton, who was in office for the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993, also issued a written statement.
"I congratulate the President, the National Security team and the members of our armed forces on bringing Osama bin Laden to justice after more than a decade of murderous al-Qaida attacks," he said.

Full statement from President George W. Bush.
Wow Clinton, why didn’t you get him????
We need a FR ululation thread.
Is this for real?
Bill Ayers is all pouty faced tonight because he never got Osama’s autograph.
Here’s my statement:
Bull$#!+!
POSOTUS called it in because his numbers are
tanking and the BC went over like a rock.
As if in 10 years American forces didn’t know where
BL was?
Little Boy Blue Lips needed a big score. IMO, this
isn’t it. After everything else that’s gone down
in 10 years, this ain’t no victory, it’s a sideshow.
Oh, boy (as Buddy Holly sang, and I prefer him to all the ex-Potusi.) When will Jimmah, and Gerry and Dick Nixon issue their statements?
He might have to buy a new flag, just to burn it.

The bastard's dead though. Whooopeee!
Clinton should have congratulated George Bush first and foremost, but as usual, he remains a partisan hack:

Hitler, Stalin and Saddam just completed their bridge foursome.
Mao don’t play bridge.
How Orwellian can this get ? The first Obama campaign rally for 2012. They have been very diligent in keeping the Hope and Change signs out of the rally tonight. This is quite bizarre to say the least .
I think Rush was right , Tora Bora 2003 nailed him .
Where are the pictures of the body???
Now it's our turn. Some virtual candy for everyone:
Enjoy.
Patiently waiting for the pictures ... Did they bus those Obama supporters in tonight or was it a flash mob ?
It is a bit odd, given that during the 08 campaign the Dems and Libs kept claiming Bush would wring out Bin Laden’s corpse just before the election to boost Republican support.
If this news is true , great .. but I just find it odd that the crowd looks solely like an Obama youth campaign rally and there has yet to be a media shot that looked normal, with normal people . Just a weird Orwellian televibe all around .
