Bush called the operation a “momentous achievement” that “marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001.”

“I congratulated him and the men and women of our military and intelligence communities who devoted their lives to this mission. They have our everlasting gratitude,” the former president said in a statement. “The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done.”

Former President Bill Clinton, who was in office for the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993, also issued a written statement.

"I congratulate the President, the National Security team and the members of our armed forces on bringing Osama bin Laden to justice after more than a decade of murderous al-Qaida attacks," he said.

I’ve always thought that, and still am not convinced, but how would Bush, his top officials, and whoever else are all in the know sit silently if this administration is lying. I don’t see how that secret could remain safe for long.

Had that POS Klinton accepted the offer to receive OBL as a prisoner during his time in office, last night's events would never had to take place because the World Trade Center would still be standing and all those lives lost on September 11, 2001 would never have occurred. Secondly, all the lives of the US military lost during the hunt for OBL would not have been necessary.

But all that DID happen because Bill Clinton refused to accept Sudan's offer to turn OBL over to the Americans way back when. Clinton has all that blood on his hands. He needs to be reminded of that daily until it finally sinks in through his thick skull. President Bush inherited that mistake from Clinton. The death of OBL just happened to occur on THE 1’s watch.
