can someone link me some information on this natural born citizen thing please. Ive always been of the understanding that a presidential candidate had to be born of two parents that were US citizens. Frankly, after some researching around, albeit not that lengthy, I'm having a hard time defending this position to people I work with who are frankly calling me racist for thinking in such a manner. Pretty much everything I have come across says its the mother that must have been born here and the fathers upbringing is pretty much irrelevant, but like I said, Ive always grown up thinking differently. So any help with some hard info would be much appreciated.
