Saddam was our “friend indeed” when we needed to pressure Iran; in fact, we armed Saddam to the teeth. We seriously destabilized the area by killing him, which is what the Arabs have accused us of doing all along.

The Iraqi Christians certainly miss him; they’re fleeing now because one of the few leaders in the region that permitted them to worship openly has been killed by the Americans. The Iraqis that were happiest to see Saddam go are now killing American troops there with boring regularity.

Has the US declared war on Iran (or Iraq, Afghanistan, or Libya)? Americans used to care about trivialities like this; the rationale used by North Vietnam for abusing captured Americans was that our bomber pilots, etc. were from a country with which they weren’t even at war (so therefore the Geneva Conventions didn’t apply).
Also, as long as these Muslims from different countries are living freely here in the US, I think it is more likely that WE are surrounded. In any case, we don’t have enough troops to fight four Muslim countries simultaneously.

Regardless of how people see BO...he sees himself as a dictator and all that there is of “our” nationa is his to do with as he sees fit...and he is doing just that for I do not see much of a push against him...it’s mostly talk and in the courts which he’ll be all done destroying us before the courts make any determinations. Then he’ll be off to some country, with his load of cash, and be protected there. We as a nation have no “win” in this....it’ll take years to pick up after this administration has completed it’s destruction.

I’m afraid you are right. Everytime I look at my son, I feel a pang of guilt that his generation will probably never have the standard of living that we have enjoyed....they will be too busy paying for our generation’s horrible mistake in electing Obama and the socialist dems. It truly keeps me up some nights. I wonder if our country will even survive.
I think this country will survive no doubt...but what it will be is not what we have known. And on the International Scene we will become even less significant...already headed that way as we become less and less of influence in the world. I do think we will become more isolated from the politocs etc. overseas...and I have no problem with that except in regards to Israel...we are doing ourselves great dis-service by abandoning them.

However, it is concerning for us just the same...and rightfully so. That concern compels us then to act where we have the resources and power to act...and leave the rest with the hands of the Almighty.
They don't need a reason, nor do they care children were killed...they strap their own with bombs...so if they are angered by anything it's that's one less kid they can strap up! Of course we do note that the Muslim leadership rarely strap their own children with bombs. Never the less they will definately use this killing as a means to seek sympathy and the outrage they will show for it.....maybe even attack somewhere in retaliation in order to show their own people they object...but they truly do not...they understand war...it's we who do not.

I can’t stand him as well but in one sentence you say they are evil SOB’s and then the next you ask if anyone knows anything about them. Doesn’t this open him to do the same thing to other countries and their civilians? He has in the past and now most of the world is attacking him. Why wouldn’t he try to take out some of their leaders?

If your going to bash Obama, bring up the obvious: Obama supports Muslims, and the only reason he is engaged in Libya is because he was out-flanked by H. Clinton’s political maneuvering to drag us into this mess.
If the good Col is killed, good - he should have been taken out the first day of the conflict. He has the blood of Americans on his hands and if he could and had a superpower ally, he would be up to his old tricks exporting the Rev. all over the world.
