You insult the military when you say they cannot be trusted to have guns yet they can be trusted to fight with them. That is a very liberal mindset.
It's a very clear mindset geared towards safety. Your entire post is gibberish. Either Soldiers are Gods With Weapons or they're regular people in a uniform. You keep saying both.
Now listen very carefully, b/c this FACT is irrefutable by anyone with ANY military experience: Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, Sailors are all normal people who have had above average weapons training. Some people within that group have more training than others, and some have vastly more than some of those. The training levels vary wildly, and you would be a fool to allow an entire FOB walk around in "red" status. I'll put my training and experience on that, and I would certainly bet my life on it. I carried a weapon and ammo everywhere I went, even to eat. If a haji wanted to get crazy, then it's on me to use the tools at my disposal. These 9 got complacent, and they're dead b/c of it.

Yep, as someone who has lived on FOBs for the better part of the past seven and a half years (both armed and unarmed, depending on the contract) I'd be a nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs if everyone on the FOB was walking around with their weapons on "red" status.
I've seen my share of bad things here. I strongly suspect I'd have seen much worse in such a scenario.

No one ever said everyone should carry a weapon at the ready. You imply that is the only option; weapons at the ready or none at all. I suppose having a weapon with ammo is just over your head.
Those same normal people carry weapons every day in their civilian lives, and there isn’t this “many, many killed” as you claim. The ONLY people I have ever heard say such a thing have been liberals. They have even claimed no one should have a weapon in their home in a neighborhood because no one can be trusted and many people will be killed if people kept weapons in the homes. Those ignorant liberals were shocked that people do, in fact, keep weapons, loaded weapons even, in their homes. Imagine that. Those normal people can go from civilian life where they keep loaded weapons on their person and in their homes to an FOB and they somehow cannot manage not to “trip over their slings” and “kill many, many people”, as you put it.
If the troops have no training or discipline to carry a weapon that is your fault as a leader. Get off your fat, lazy ass and train those troops instead of leaving them to the wolves for slaughter. I am sorry you and the rest of the military have failed to train and discipline the troops to carry weapons, opting, instead, to disarm them in hostile areas. It seems that is always the answer to troops, training, and discipline; disarm them. As for intelligence, your approach has none. Disarming military personnel is not intelligent.
