Burton will end up blaming the Tea Party, and everyone will buy into it.

As another FReeper said on another thread: “If it wasn’t for double standards the Democrat party would have no standards at all.”

oh, brother! Are there any Democrats in office over the intelligence age of nine? Too many Republicans are included in that question, I might add!
but I forgot. They don’t teach manners, ethics (except for situational ethics) or civics in schools any more!
There are no absolutes. And mediocrity is favored over excellence. It does not bode well for the future, does it?

At least the California Republicans have enough spine to block the tax increases. They are not listening to the “starving children” bull crap. The leader of the Republicans in Sacramento said “We are not here to talk about tax increases.” I wish John Boehner would take a lesson.

Sensitivity over violence-laden political remarks has come under scrutiny since the assassination attempt of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, an Arizona Democrat, that many believe was incited by heated political rhetoric. "Many" being defined as leftards who hear only what they want to hear. No serious observer thinks the Giffords shooting had anything to do with 'heated political rhetoric'.

“Republicans are criticizing John Burton, the state Democratic Party chairman, for suggesting Gov. Jerry Brown “try shooting” a Republican to convince them to vote for taxes.”
Gee-—I didn’t see this reported in the mainstream media./s

They tried to crucify Palin over “Blood Libel” and this a$$hole threatens to shoot republicans for votes... he should be attacked by the left with more ferocity than they attacked Palin with. Being dims... they will probably give him and administration position.

When the head of a party suggests members of the opposition be shot, that's gotta' be taken as a real threat.
People who have to go to work near this Burton character should GO ARMED. He's a killer FUR SHUR!

If Burton has a family they should be taken into protective custody and hidden from this man in a distant and unknown location.

I don’t get it... why does the Cal Dims need Pub votes on taxes? Just so they don’t get the whole blame when the state defaults?
Pubs are in a small minority and have no real power.

Currently if you search for ( burton california ) it's the number four Burton thread.
Kind of weird. You usually wouldn't expect that kind of polling so soon when a Democrat threatens to have the Governor kill Republicans.
This story has big heavy legs.

Go ahead, shoot a Republican! Then they will be justified when they shoot back in self defense.

Burton was part of the San Francisco liberal takeover of California politics that started in the late 60's thru the 70's and 80's. Boxer, Feinstein, Pelosi, Burton, Willie Brown...like cockroaches, they have infested the state.
Burton is entering geezerhoodom, so he is relegated to shooting off his mouth nowadays.

The Rats can pass a budget with a simple majority, but it takes a 2/3 majority to raise taxes. Thus, the only budget they can pass is an all-cuts one, and they are unable and/or unwilling to do that.
Rats in the Legislature claim they can put tax increases on the ballot with a simple majority, but Governor Moonbeam has said he won’t do that. That theory hasn’t been tested in court, and he wants the appearance of bipartisanship, otherwise the taxes are doomed to fail.

Everyone will buy into it because Republicans are too stupid to keep the pin in Burton. They should be demanding he resign and they should be doing all they can to get his head on a pike.
