I disagree. If you're an entertainer and you get involved in politics, you run off 50% of your market.

Groupon is doing what I would do.

“If you’re an entertainer and you get involved in politics”

Sound like 90% of the media to me, full of leftist agitprop.

“you run off 50% of your market”

Unfortunately not. Maybe you run off 10%, but the 40% who should run off stay glued to the idiotbox, in my experience.

Do you boycott movies and most musicians?

No, it only works one way. Liberal loons are always using their shows as a platform to voice their opinions, and Trump hasn’t even done that. Trump’s ratings, btw, have gone waaaaaaaaay up since he started all this.

It’s one thing to have your “market” decide to not support you as an entertainer and entirely another to have leftist pressure groups getting sponsors to boycott your entertainment product. The left uses this tactic on people like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.

Where’s the “boycott” of George Clooney or Sean Penn films?

Look at the amount of effort it took to get sponsors to boycott the Wonkette site because of the tasteless Trip Palin piece. And you know the sponsors will sneak back as soon as the conservatives look away.

Yep.
Their decision signals nothing outwardly political, except the desire to appear apolitical, and that’s fine with me.

no don’t forget only 19% self identify as liberal/leftist/socialist/democrat hardly his demographic.

The majority is conservative with the balance being divided into “don’t care” and left wing.

so trump lost nothing.
