It is amazing how fast some Freepers forget that everyone of us lives in a semi autonomous functional country(state) and the we’d hardly notice if FedGov™ disappeared. Lincoln did a hell of a job destroying the republic.
If FedGov™ collapses then the state will be the governing body. Yes there will still be socialists and conservatives but no anarchy. Your comment sound stupid, naive. Stop listening to anarchists like Melas who preach anarchy and chaos. Those types are FOS.
As important as 2A rights are, I agree with you on this one. Every time I have to send in my monthly fed taxes it starts a slow burn. Every time I see the news where the teacher’s unions/police unions/firefighter unions/labor unions...ad nauseum...are complaining about how they need those pay increases keeps the burn going. I can bury/hide/loose the guns, but I haven’t figured out yet, how to keep the business going and not send money in to the government to be handed out to the slackers.

Plausable. Financial Pressures can send things over the edge. I see no trends reversing our financial issues for the better.
I was thinking more about the enemy faction among the political leadership, the ones who give the orders, than about the usual predators. For instance, my local RINO congressman and the state's two far left whacko RAT senators, the leadership of the county RAT apparatus, the RINO county sheriff, etc.
Then there is the moral problem of when preemptive self defense becomes murder. Is taking them out morally justifiable, and are their families EVER legitimate targets? (No, never!) I know, their side would not show such restraint, but I am not them.

It would be much more accurate to expand this into a world war against all of political correctness.

There has been much talk over the growing divide between the so-called Red States and Blue States. It’s amazing that it’s being spoken of, albeit informally and often in jest, but but perhaps we should research into whether there is a legal way to expel states from the union. Let them form their own socialist nation-states if they want.

THe lights going out would be the key to trigger something massive. Most citizens have not a single clue there is even anything wrong. The govt isnt stupid enough to overtly start something i.e. try and squash the 2nd Amendment. That would start violence almost overnight. They will keep using the economic hardships to push people to the breaking point. Once people cant sit home and watch their cable tv they will get restless and when the welfare checks stop then the looting and rioting will begin. People are still too comfortable to do anything other than bitch.
They will all no doubt be safely ensconced in undisclosed locations with 24/7 well armed protection.
The media useful idiots will be the first to go, I’ll bet.

Don't forget the innocent kids and grandmothers shot by the SWAT team in the course of executing a legally-sanctioned home invasion.
