how does this ethanol gas crap we have to buy hold up in those generator tanks? i have some lawn equipment that won’t start if i leave gas in them for a week - i have to dump out what is in the tank and refill it - not sure why - the gas i add is from a plastic gas can
we buy a lot of 90 octane with no ethanol at all. It works really well.
“Gasoline” spiked with ethanol not only does not store well (the ethanol sucks up every molecule of water it sees, mixes the whole mess with the gas and doesn’t burn worth spit), but has been found to systematically wreck small displacement gasoline engines.
I’ll go miles and pay beaucoup just to keep from financing that fraud. The link below is a good start at finding your own.
Ethanol is corrosive to small engines. I’ve read where some companies are packaging 100% gasoline for small engines. Might have been in Popular Mechanics or a similar magazine.
