In the immediate aftermath of President Obama's issuance of an image he claims to be his original, long-form birth certificate, there have been rumors swirling that the name of his alleged birth hospital is not accurate on the document.
The image states the specific hospital for Obama's birth is the Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital.
That has sparked some cries of fraud and a flood of emails to WND, as some have noted that the name of the hospital currently is the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, and there's no mention of "Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital" on the facility's own website which provides some history of itself.
On its "About us" page, Kapiolani explains: "This is the story of two hospitals: Kauikeolani Children's Hospital and Kapi'olani Maternity Home."
It says the two hospitals joined in 1978 to become Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, but it makes no mention that it was known for a time as the Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital.
The variety of names is sparking confusion, with one WND reader sending a typical email stating: "The hospital's name that was listed on Obama's birth certificate was not called that hospital in 1978. It was a different name in 1961 and later changed its name."

“Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital” is what it says on the Nordyke BC.
Could the Nordake BC’s be plants?
Is it normal for a State to go back and edit out older hospital names from birth records?
Wait. I’m confused. did you read the WND post in full?
Did you notice that even THEY say the hospital name is legit?
The birth certificate is a red herring. Even under the most ideal circumstances it leads nowhere. Proved beyond the shadow of a doubt is not obtainable, but it distracts from the mission at hand - we have an inept, disasterous CINC who needs to be booted on the merits of his actions, not his qualifications.
All has been explained. Free Republic: Home of the Uninformed!
Please. This is all wrongheaded and foolish.
I have posted already too many times to count, the name of this facility in 1961 was indeed “Kapiolani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital”.
I drove by the place two, three, four times a day or more, virtually every day from 1961 through 1969. I lived only five blocks away.
I also had two children born in that hospital in 1965 and in 1969.
I am telling everyone on this board that I know this to be factual from my own experience. Moreover I was issued birth certificates from the Hawaii Board of Health back in the ‘60’s that are virtually identical in form and content to the Nordyke twins.
This discussion is a wrongheaded waste of time. It leads nowhere.
The name of this hospital in 1969 and right up until 1971 was:
Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital.
Let’s be done with this.
What?.... Did the DemoCriminals use the wrong type font again? >BoD
This link had some good info on this subject. Look at the bottom

And here’s a court case involving the hospital as a litigant using that name. The author of this piece didn’t do much research - would have probably taken all of five minutes to find multiple references to the hospital being referred to by that name.
Folks, many of you are looking the same as those on the left who insist Kloppenberg won in Wisconsin and Bush stole Florida in 2000. Time to let it go now...it is a huge distraction to the issues like Obamacare that must be dealt with.
He is an American...in his dimension. That's why he's so confused.
If we don't return him then he will warp our reality beyond comprehension.
Oops, too late!
I believe the Nordyke BC is authentic.
Note the left margin and tab stop alignment of the entries.
Definitely real.
Oh...I see. Should have read the whole article. The way it was presented here seemed to portray the opposite message.
OK, so there aren't 100 errors in this new birth certificate, there are only 99.
I feel so much better now.
