...Tahrir Square when she was sexually assaulted by a mob on the night that Hosni Mubaraks government fell in Cairo.
Ms. Logan, a CBS News correspondent, was in the square preparing a report for 60 Minutes on Feb. 11 when the celebratory mood suddenly turned threatening. She was ripped away from her producer and bodyguard by a group of men who tore at her clothes and groped and beat her body. For an extended period of time, they raped me with their hands, Ms. Logan said in an interview with The New York Times. She estimated that the attack lasted for about 40 minutes and involved 200 to 300 men.
Ms. Logan, who returned to work this month, is expected to speak at length about the assault on 60 Minutes on Sunday night.

As the cameraman, Richard Butler, was swapping out a battery, Egyptian colleagues who were accompanying the camera crew heard men nearby talking about wanting to take Ms. Logans pants off. She said: Our local people with us said, Weve gotta get out of here. That was literally the moment the mob set on me.

She declined to go into more detail about the assault but said: What really struck me was how merciless they were. They really enjoyed my pain and suffering. It incited them to more violence.
After being rescued by a group of civilians and Egyptian soldiers, she was swiftly flown back to the United States. She was quite traumatized, as you can imagine, for a period of time, Mr. Fager said. Ms. Logan said she decided almost immediately that she would speak out about sexual violence both on behalf of other journalists and on behalf of millions of voiceless women who are subjected to attacks like this and worse.

Among the letters she received, she said, was one from a woman who lives in Canada who was raped in the back of a taxi cab in Cairo... OK. This was rape, apparently.
What does that mean? Because she’s attractive?
no sympathy for an arrogant and terminally dumb poster named “bert”....
you should have seen the one i posted that got removed
Well if someone’s at fault here, CBS should be sued for allowing one of their female reporters to go to the Middle East without appropriate security necessary.
Was the meter running?
we' re moving into the stone age and its bad enough to have muslims stoning and raping women on the street but now we even have supposed "men" on a conservative, patriotic site criticizing HER for being a victim....
Dude, you gotta get out of your mom’s basement and get a real life. I’m sure it was witty and cutting and all that, and it’s too bad it got removed. Whatever.
US Embassy had to pay for it. I’m connected and know this stuff. Trust me. Obama does.
“No sympathy for an arrogant and terminally dumb woman who thought her CBS pass was an important credential.”
WOW! You should be ashamed of yourself.
Thats the best you got? Fyi my mom has been dead for years never lived in her basement But thanks for playing DUDE
What you said.
lol
hand rape? Is that like rape rape?
criticizing HER for being a victim.... Dear lady, I am not criticizing her, but since this has happened, it has been SEXUAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL ASSAULT. So, what happened to her? The journalists nowadays tell us only what THEY want us to hear. Was she raped by 200-300 guys? Was she felt up? Did this actually happen? MSM people are looking to BE the story, more and more, rather than the reporters of an event. I feel this is no different, until proven wrong.
Read the comments in the NYT after the article. I couldn’t wade thru the entire 3 pages but the ones I read barely mentioned the fact that the culture gives those men carte blanche to do what they did, and a whole lot more.
Mostly the comments were focused on the ‘rape’ issue, as tho it had occured in the US. The cultural issue was mentioned but in the way that liberals have of glossing the muslim atrocities over. SOme even went as far as to hint that it was her fault, she and her producers had to know what could happen to a blond woman in that situation.
I lived in Turkey, have dark hair and eyes, and that didn’t stop the muslims from saying disgusting things and making disgusting noises when they saw me (or any other American woman). Being blond isn’t the issue, being American is. I wasn’t even an adult but I was fair game to muslims.
Just finished reading Caliphate by Tom Kratman and recommend it. It should be forced reading for liberals. It’s a novel but the scary future it describes may be right around our corner.
Bump what you said. This moron Logan is going to ride this feel-up "rape" for a book deal and maybe a movie. She'll turn her "15 minutes" into 15 years if she can. She is not fit to even make breakfast for a combat veteran of Afghanistan. (spit)
If the left does not consider Roman Polanski’s rape of an underage girl rape then this an’t nothin but assault.
