I don’t understand this comment. Are you saying the TXE proves this document is real or the opposite ?

TXE proves that the “two layers” are caused by the scan2pdf software.If you examine the PDF as a binary file you will see, that the first layer with the foreground was generated by the scan spftwares OCR engine to make the document indexable/searchable. OCR software mistakes letters or doesn’t recognize em sometimes. So what happened is: The software tried to seperate the foreground from the background. Some letters were not recognized at all and remained on the background. Other “blocks” got refractured into “images” like parts of the signaturs, lines and letters into “digital” letters. Therby a H was mistaken for a X by the OCR engine which can easily happen. This also explains why some letters look somehow odd/different. You can verify this easily using a program like hexdump on the pdf and the PDF spec.
