Just like the states filed lawsuits against the US Tobacco Companies claiming harm due to the costs of medical treatments due to smoking, the same suits should be filed against the federal government by the states for the same.
The government in Obama's own words claims federal responsibility for illegal immigration.

"Arizona tried this, and a federal court already struck them down.” No, the court struck down a small portion of the AZ law which was then changed to comply the court ruling.
