The Donks know that we tie ourselves in knots over this stuff. So they want to keep it going for as long as possible.
Maybe they’ve decided that this game has gone on long enough, and they’re going to end it. But I don’t think so. I predict that it will be more of the same. Re-release the COLB and say that this is all the documentation he would need to get a driver’s license, etc, and completely ignore the fact that there is a different requirement to be POTUS than there is to drive a car.

I wonder if the people who have been obsessive over this realize how much credibility this gains the President in the eyes of the youth and independents.
I mean he has no reason to really give a damn what anyone here, or any conservative thinks- he could raise the dead and he'd be hated on FR- but I think this has been planned all along to play to the ‘marginals, the 18-25 folks who don't vote in the same numbers and the wavering independents who are conservative on some issues and liberal on others; it says “see all this fuss about nothing, I have been telling you the truth (barf) all along, now ignore that man behind the curtain”.
Just because he has governed poorly doesn't mean he isn't a dangerous campaigner. I think the folks who have made this an issue have made all opponents of President Obama look a little less credible the problem is not where he was born, it's that someone with his KNOWN views and votes could get elected in the first place.
But I could be wrong, as usual.
I think the birth certificate is asking the wrong questions. Therefore, release the LFBC and then dismiss any other questions.
The questions I would like to see answered are:
1. Have you ever travelled on a passport from another country?
2. Did you ever indicate another citizenship (even a dual citizenship) on any college applications?
3. Have you ever represented yourself as anything other than a citizen of the US at any time of your life?
I think it is possible that he held dual Indonesian citizenship through his youth. That would not be his fault—what kid can control that stuff. But if he took advantage of that to gain an upper hand, or if he used a foreign passport after the age of 18 that could be problematic.
But those questions will never be answered. This game is over. Move on to try to win the match.

That probably was the old strategy but that would only work among the grassroots birther movement. Obama had to do something once big name Trump got involved.
