Not quite. The political right has an exceptionally target-rich environment.
Ann Landers had a license to steal. Whenever she couldn’t bear the agonizing burden of spouting cliches in response to inane letters from clueless readers, she would - wait for it - REPRINT OLD LETTERS. She claimed that this or that reader had asked for it but if the reader was so impressed why didn’t he/she clip and save the column to begin with?
Milbank cannot countenance the fact that he’s backed a loser who has no idea - literally and figuratively - of what to do next. And so, they pull an Ann Landers and reprint the ‘Obama is so brilliant even we can’t figure him out and you shouldn’t even try’ column. It’s used every six months or so but this bumbling fool of a president is beyond rehabilitation regardless of his supposed IQ.
This guy is finished. I wouldn't be surprised to see him resign or be impeached. I can't see him being reelected. Course, I couldn't see him getting elected in the first place.
The real liberal thinkers I know could never survive in the tree service business. They would prop a long ladder against a limb, climb up and cut the limb off on the tree side of the ladder, if they survived the fall they would then explain that they had done the only sensible thing and it actually worked out well in the end but the “right wingnuts” were just too stupid to understand. They would rant unceasingly about how stupid Sarah Palin is because she advocates cutting the limb on the side of the ladder away from the tree. Regardless of how many times they fell they would never change their method and would keep on doing the same thing as long as they could climb the ladder again.
The only reason I still get it is for the comics.
