The new information in the article indicates that Obama changed his birth certificate information after 2003 because new Hawaii Department of Health terminology was used on the Certification of Live Birth that was posted on Obama’s website and FactCheck.org. Most likely he filed a Late Certificate of Birth after 2003, which contained the new race identifier “African” for his father.
I’m more likely to believe a simple act like this is the issue than the citizenship part or being born outside of the US. You have a guy who has very efficiently scripted himself...like a character on TV. Each piece of his scripted history tells a story that impresses you. As long as each piece fits...it’s a great character.
There are various documents which could spill out on the floor and take away from the scripted character....and make him less of a legend. I would suspect this is the trail upon us...little simple character bits which aren’t completely true.
It would be interesting to see what the number sequence is for the COLBs in 2003 - perhaps they fit better with the COLB that Obama has offered than in 1961, which has much lower numbers, if my memory is correct. I can’t find a copy of it that has the number, but I know it didn’t fit in with the births surrounding Obama’s.
