Are these the .300 Win Mags I read about them getting? Or were they 7.62 NATO)(.308)
Whatever they are, they’re fairly ugly looking. Good thing, from 1,000 meters out, the gun doesn’t really need to have much of a ‘mean factor’ when it comes to intimidating enemies. They’ll be dead before anyone downrange hears it go off. lol

the XM2010 transitioned from the 7.62mm NATO caliber (.308 Winchester) to a .300 Winchester Magnum. This increased a snipers effective range from 800 to 1,200 meters.

VERY nice. I thought I was replying to the thread about night time hog hunting. My fault for having too many tabs open.

.300 Win Mag is a damn awesome round! They seem to be inherently accurate, even from an out of the box cheap hunting rifle.

300 weatherby mag is about 10 % hotter out of the muzzle, but it takes a long action.

My Rem .308 tactical shoots better than I can hold it. That rig is almost space age. .300 Win is a great round but I would have guessed the Lapua before I read it.
