Matter of fact, Palin said that Obamas writings in college are the basis for the way this guy thinks and acts. Trump has called forth the question on Obamas grades in College.

He qualified via affirmative action. The universities were and are full of people who got there like that.

Now, I, being a white female and attending as an older student, got absolutely nothing. I was turned down on my first app. to UT. Austin because of a GRE score of 1050. Had to retake and bring it up to 1250 to get in--meantime minorities were greased thru along with financial aid making around 950--know because one was a friend.

Later, made 94 on Miller's analogy test to get grad classes at UAL, Tusc. and was admitted along with a black acquaintance whose score was unacceptable but was admitted (with financial aid) on a trial basis even though not passing the standards test.

The halls of academia are RACIST! Affirmative action has been going on so long and so many blacks are successful, it ought to go to merit NOW.But not to worry, they are victims--200 yr. victims and must forever get special treatment.

Obama graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law, but that was surely as much due to charm as it was to performance.

Supposedly, magna at HLS is limited to graduates with grades in the Top 10%, and grades are based on anonymous tests. So charm would get Obama nowhere.

If Obama's HLS grades, however, were in the Top 10%, he would wear them, as he can't wear his BC, on his forehead. The MSM and Obama would drum into us his class rank and GPA. If he was smart enough to graduate Magna at Harvard, so too would he have top LSAT's, which would be added to his lore.

The Magna, therefore, must not have involved grades, but rather was awarded by the faculty who otherwise faced the prospect of the baton-wielding President of the Harvard Law Review graduating without Honors, which would scream AA, and undermine the credibility of HLS and the HLR. Better to throw in the Magna, and everyone looks a lot better.

Jack Cashill writes:

To Obama's good fortune, the HLR had replaced a meritocracy in which editors were elected based on grades – the president being the student with the highest academic rank – with one in which half the editors were chosen through a writing competition.

This competition, the New York Times reported...was "meant to help insure that minority students became editors..."

The election ... was based more on popularity than competence. Obama prevailed over 18 other candidates only after the HLR's small conservative faction threw him its support.

I wish Cashill had given a little more detail here, it seems to contradict the thesis of his book and remarks he made in a talk broadcast by BookTV.

In that broadcasts he states that 'bam couldn't have written "Dreams..." or "Audacity..." because he couldn't write very well, based on the few examples that he's seen.

Here he says 'bam nailed the prize in a writing contest, that was really just a popularity contest? So maybe 'bam's a good writer after all? Or was it ghost written?

Maybe Cashill doesn't dare clinch the point. But what he gives us here muddies things a bit.
