Protesters disrupt Congressman Allen West's town hall

Judging by the standing ovations – and those who sat on their hands – as West was introduced, the vast majority of the 500 to 600 people present are West fans.

The evening started with West recalling the “campaign of 2010 [during which] a lot of nasty things were said and done.” He recounted a blogger’s threat to skin him alive, the spreading of his Social Security number in a campaign mailing, and a protest staged outside his campaign headquarters.

One anti-West activist started yelling, repeatedly, “what about ballots and bullets.” That was a reference to a line from radio talker Joyce Kaufman during the campaign. She pushed West and suggested if ballots didn’t effect change, then bullets would.

Says he's not running for president. His Facebook page is full of people BEGGING him to run, myself included. I guess these protestors are racists.

I would love nothing more than for him to run but looks like he isn’t going to. I really wish he would change his mind. He has so much support already. Wish we had more like him.
