Rush: "As much as anything, this takedown of Sarah Palin is a warning to anybody else who's thinking about trying it. We can get you, too. Don't think they don't think that."

I think that's the money quote right there.

Churchill wasn’t a gelding ... the GOP only allows geldings ... with no spines.

I heard this caller and agreed with her wholeheartedly. We have spineless, gutless politicians in DC and especially in the Speaker’s office. Where are supposed men in Congress with the spine and guts to defend this country from the enemies within?

They must start telling the American people the names of the traitors who are destroying our country and destroying our children and grandchildren’s future.

Sarah Palin is now very much like Churchill in pre-WW-II days ... See what I mean in Sarah’s Facebook posting at https://www.facebook.com/notes/sarah-palin/america-deserves-libya-explanation/10150165452518435

Its not exactly like Churchill “stepped up to the plate”. He wanted to step up, but was not allowed to. He warned, and warned, and warned during the wilderness years, and hardly anyone was listening. Then finally when all hell was breaking loose, Chamberlain had made one too many mistakes, Churchill was thrust into the leadership position.

There is analogy here... with dire warnings about stagflation, hyperinflation, marxism over many years, and useful idiots still vote ‘rat.

The caller’s premise is all wrong. Gov. Christie is answering the call by serving as New Jersey’s governor. There are plenty of ways to lead besides running for president. And little does she know the conservative base would destroy Christie if he ran. I’m glad he’s staying here in NJ for now.

Caller: Where is the GOP Churchill?

DONALD TRUMP...

Churchill was in the Liberal party before he was in the Conservative party.

NEITHER THE LIBERALS OR CONSERVATIVES LIKED CHURCHILL AND THEY BOTH STABBED HIM IN THE BACK EVERY CHANCE THEY GOT...

The level of educational ignorance on history is remarkable in this country...

And i can’t wait for pro islamic, pro abort, anti gun Christie. Talking tough to a few school marms once or twice isn’t enough for me. He’s pretty much only good on the budget,,, other than that he’s a fat dude from likely the most corrupt state.

Sarah is fine. ANd she pisses them off the most,, so i like her best.

Far too many Chamberlains... a Churchill need not apply... Until we purge the rino's and establishment pubbies it will never change.

I cut them off financially back in 2006 but they still have not learned. I guess the progressives think that by impoverishing and enslaving the middle class they can silence all opposition to the rino class

But national campaigns are not built only out of money or else Perot would have been elected. They are in overdrive because folks are actually FEELING the hope and change Obama was talking about and they don't like it. So the game is neutralize the conservatives and tea party people so that they can send another sacrificial lamb in 2012 to keep their agenda moving forward!

We do not have to beat Obama in 2012 but we MUST beat the rinos in 2011 and 2012 if we want to save the republic!

These callers perfectly capture the underlying, angry feelings that conservatives have right now.

I am not holding my nose or supporting a RINO ever again, period. If the nominee is not Sarah Palin or whoever she endorses, then I'm sitting out, retreating to my property, and waiting for the big showdown that's going to happen.

Yes, where is our Churchill, indeed? I would love to see Sarah and West answer that call. I don’t think Christie is it.

That said, I have a comment about the 2nd caller. I am a woman and a lady, and I am just so disgusted with the way the term for testicles is just thrown around in conversation. It is especially disgusting when a woman, such as Rush’s 2nd caller here, does so. Whatever happened to words such as “courage” or “fortitude”. Why have so many on our side sunken into the gutter with the leftists.

There’s a Churchill only once a century. In 1911 he was the new First Lord of the Admiralty, sort of the secretary of the Royal Navy. He didn’t become Prime Minister until 1940, and after the war he was turned out of office.

We need a strong statesman to represent the GOP who can draw as clear a word picture describing the distinction between the collectivist/socialist policies of Obama and his minions and the foundations in individual enterprise which made America a land of opportunity, freedom, prosperity, plenty and a beacon of liberty for oppressed people all over the world.

The following statement by Churchill, upon leaving office as Prime Minister in 1945, was prophetic for Great Britain, and as it turns out, the United States and the world:

"I do not believe in the power of the State to plan and enforce. No matter how numerous are the committees they set up or the ever-growing hordes of officials they employ or the severity of the punishments they inflict or threaten, they can't approach the high level of internal economic production achieved under free enterprise. Personal initiative, competitive selection, and profit motive corrected by failure and the infinite processes of good housekeeping and personal ingenuity, these constitute the life of a free society. It is this vital creative impulse that I deeply fear the doctrines and policies of the socialist government has destroyed. Nothing that they can plan and order and rush around enforcing will take its place. They have broken the main spring and until we get a new one, the watch wil not go. Set the people free. Get out of the way and let them make the best of themselves. I am sure that this policy of equalizing misery and organizing society--instead of allowing diligence, self-interest and ingenuity to produce abundance--has only to be prolonged to kill this British Island stone dead."
