NLRB will sue Ariz., SD over union laws

WASHINGTON (AP) — The National Labor Relations Board says it will move ahead with lawsuits seeking to invalidate state constitutional amendments in Arizona and South Dakota that require workers to hold secret ballot elections before a company can be unionized.

The move comes after months of negotiations that failed to reach a settlement with attorneys general for the two states, according to an April 22 letter from the agency's acting general counsel, Lafe Solomon.

It's the latest in a series of high-profile steps the agency has taken to defend union rights since gaining a Democratic majority last year for the first time in nearly a decade. And it comes as Republican state legislators are enacting anti-union laws in many states as budget-cutting efforts.

Last week, the NRLB filed a controversial lawsuit that accuses Boeing Co. of putting one of its assembly lines for the new 787 in South Carolina — a right to work state — to retaliate against union workers in Washington state who went on strike in 2008.

They cross the line in the sand and we back up and draw a new one every time.

We live in a dictatorship of bureaucrats.

The big use here is that the redarmbandedfascistpigs have now come out in the open and are seeking to eliminate the secret ballot.

To many that is an act of war.

They are going to force everyone into union subjugation if they are allowed.

Unions just can succeed without intimidation of all involved...

They demand the right to intimidate without recourse...

In another time they’d chased off at the end of gun in fear of their life.

"...that accuses Boeing Co. of putting one of its assembly lines for the new 787 in South Carolina — a right to work state — to retaliate against union workers in Washington state who went on strike in 2008."

Even if that's true, so what? Companies are supposed to take it up the rear from unions and like it? Absurd.

Which has precedence, some federal agency’s decisions or a state’s constitution. If they win this one, time to mobilize the state NGs and begin a new bombardment of Ft Sumpter.

I blame the opposition for not running ads 24/7 EXPOSING the Unions attempts to eliminate secret ballots.
IF the average American were AWARE that these thugs wanted to force non-secret ballots, the Unions would suffer great damage to their image...

>>>We live in a dictatorship of bureaucrats.<<<

Which is a quick definition of totalitarianism.

All of the great totalitarian empires of the past century have been, in essence, massive bureaucratic states. Read up on the Leninist design for governance, with its overlapping bureacracies and committees for every conceivable project and need. That we’ve evolved in this direction without an overt revolution is really the most astonishing part of the story.

God help us.

Interesting.

Not all that long ago, union organizers were fighting FOR the right of employees to hold secret ballot elections to decide whether to unionize.

It appears the union thugs are confident in their ability to intimidate more than 50% of the employees in any given ‘shop’. Of course, with the support they are receiving from Barack “The Organizer” Obama and Eric “My People” Holder, I guess they SHOULD be.

There was a great ad (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6yrZtq27e0), but I never saw it broadcast anywhere - just shown in the commentary sections of Fox News shows.

“To many that is an act of war.”

And we have a second amendment that is just sitting their doing nothing. We should be mobilizing militias to defend our nation against enemies at home. This is what the Constitution was written for.

The only way our nation can be taken from us is if we let them take it. Sadly, they are.

Here's what I think should happen:

Many years ago, when there were many failing companies, the IRA and 401-K rules were created. These rules allowed individuals a portability we never had before, ie, we are no longer trapped working for a single company; we can change jobs and take our retirement plans with us.

I think we should disallow union pension funds and require their phase-out. All contributions to pension funds should go to IRA or 401-K plans for union members. That will allow union employees the ability to change jobs if they want, without risking loss of their retirements. This would allow them to go to work for union or non-union employers, thus removing the indentured servitude they're currently in.

(P.S. A good offense is the best defense).

“The NLRB is in a race with the EPA to see which one will have their funds cut first.”

I so wish that were true. But the GOP couldn’t even cut NPR because they are so timid.

Here's the name of the group who ran the rarely seen ads (perhaps due to funds?):

Who exactly is the "opposition"? I haven't seen much opposition to the thugs, unfortunately.

Union tactics should be turned against the unions. Brute force is the only thing these gangsters understand.
