Hmm. That doesn’t look like he slid off during taxi, looks like he just slid off the end, turning it right at the last second. Midway doesn’t have very long runways, but they’re (mostly) plenty long for a 737-700 like that.

I’ve flown in and out of Midway. It has a freakishly short runway for commercial jets.
The 737’s taxi to the very beginning of the runway, lock their brakes, throttle up, release the brakes and then pray real hard.

I thought they were talking about Midway island in the Pacific. This is a lot better.

Attention all operators, brace yourselves for another round of FAA mandated runway analysis and larger factored distances.
Pretty soon you won’t be able to land on a runway unless there is 3 times as much needed for the landing distance of the airplane.

Second time for Southwest and Midway. Last time they almost went into a gas station and I believe a small boy was killed in a car.

Ran off the runway?
Looks like the pilot went mudding. Ooops, forgot to lock the front hubs.

Meigs Field. Now that was a good airport. Until that rat bastard Daley killed it.

Musta been on Otto Pilot.

I thought so too, and figured the plane was in the ocean.

It was probably a downwind landing.
