How eager is CNN for a Trump/Birther traffic windfall? Not only did they rush a story about this “scoop” onto their website hours before Cooper’s show airs, they posted a sneak preview of the exchange to entice viewers to watch. Who can resist a rainbow of extra page views? Not I, my friends, not I.
Real estate mogul Donald Trump’s latest claim about President Obama’s birth certificate is that it’s missing.
“Well I’ve been told very recently, Anderson, that the birth certificate is missing,” Trump told CNN’s Anderson Cooper Monday. “I’ve been told that it’s not there or it doesn’t exist. And if that’s the case it’s a big problem.”
When asked from whom he received the information, Trump said he didn’t want to say and that he feels bad about the situation.
He feels bad because he’d much prefer to talk about the important policy issues facing the country, every one of which turns out to be “so easy” to solve. He also digressed from his pursuit of a serious policy debate in an interview with the AP today to say that he’s heard Obama was a “terrible student, terrible” while at Columbia and Harvard. And he reassured the Des Moines Register that “Iowa is very, very important to me” and that “I’m a very conservative person. Extremely conservative.” So there you go. You’re now caught up on Trump news.
Exit question: Should we start a pool on when he’ll reveal the findings of his investigators? I’ll take “during his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention.” Unless we nominate him, we’ll never know the truth…

Attacking O's false biography is a very good thing. However, if Trump doesn't deliver some goods it could backfire.
Trump either has an oil tanker full of Obama’s personal sludge to dump on the media, or he is being very stupid. It's one or the other.
Trump has a lot to lose by taking on the birther issue and by attacking Obama. There is no way that doing so would help him in his business adventures. He needs big city Democrat cooperation just to get the needed zoning and building permits to move forward on his projects. Internationally, he needs the support of the Marxist progressives, as well.
Trump did not get where he is by being stupid. Personally, I am enjoying the show. Trump has kicked the birther ant hill and it has been fun watching the Marxist media and conservative pundits run around like crazy looking for cover.

I’ll bet Trump’s guys have talked with that college professor who was working as an elections supervisor in HI in 2008. He has said numerous times that he was told by the records dept in HI that they did not have a BC for Barry.
Doesn't the MSM use expressions like "some say X" or "experts tell us that Y is true" where X and Y are extremely controversial and upsetting propositions?

Recently there was talk that Trump is investigating the findings of the upcoming Corsi book. If that’s indeed true, Trump may not be at liberty to reveal what he know until the book hits.

Tim Adams, the professor you are referring to, not only SAID but also SIGNED an affadavit under the threat of perjury. Has Okubo/Fukino et al ever done that? Np, just press releases and comments attributed to them by local media.
This morning Imus has been showing clips of Shep Smith revealing that they had a copy of the “real” birth certificate last night on his show. He said that Fox news has confirmed President Obama was born in Hawaii and held up the “birth certificate” to prove it. So there it is, Shep Smith says Obammy was born in Hawaii and is a citizen of the US so we can all move on now. Thanks Sheppy and Fox News for setting the record straight.

Most of the time old records like that are microfilmed instead of/in addition to their paper records. Did a whole reel of microfilm disappear from the records? Are there no Honolulu long form certificates for the entire year 1961? Is this why Hawaii no longer produces copies of anyone's long form certificates to hide which ones are missing?
