Lawmakers in the Oklahoma House of Representatives this week will be taking up the issue of the eligibility of candidates, including presidential candidates, for office, several weeks after their fellow lawmakers in the state Senate gave their state's planned demands overwhelming 34-10 approval..
A spokesman in the office of House Speaker Kris Steele, a Republican from District 26, confirmed today to WND that Senate Bill 91 has been added to the list of bills to be considered this week and it will be up for a vote probably by Wednesday in the Oklahoma House.
Although at least 14 other states have had similar proposals on their calendars this legislative session, only one other state already has moved its bill so far along in the process. However, in that case, in Arizona, Gov. Jan Brewer vetoed the plan to exercise the state's right to run its own elections and assure candidate eligibility as a "bridge too far."
Support has been strong in Oklahoma for SB 91, which is written to assure that all candidates are eligible for the office they seek to occupy.
"Each candidate required to file a Declaration of Candidacy for any federal, state, county, municipal or judicial office, or for the nomination of a recognized political party, in a general, primary, or special election shall, at the time of filing the Declaration of Candidacy, provide proof of identity and eligibility to hold the office sought to the election board at which the Declaration was filed," it states.

Boomer Sooner!!! Let the line be drawn by the Okies.....
Let’s hope Governor Mary Fallin (R) does not veto this.
OK is the reddest state in the country. It’s not exactly needed but a statement vote to klownie the kenyan.
Lets hope Governor Mary Fallin (R) does not veto this.
I hope we don’t have to cram this one down her throat too.
True. Regardless of who 0bama runs against, he won't come close to winning in a deep red state like Oklahoma.
However, if this bill passes then there becomes an issue concerning his eligibility to be even placed on the ballot.
It will then become time to break out the popcorn as we finally get to see what Zero will do.
Most of the scenarios he's left with would all be kryptonite to not only his 2012 run but his complete 0bama narrative. They include forfeiting his LFBC (if it exists) with whatever embarrassing information it shows, continue stonewalling by taking this to court or ignoring the request and being left off the OK ballot.
If OK or any other state passes a similar bill he's left with only one positive option: Produce a valid LFBC. Not only must it say that he was born in Hawaii but the father must be BHO Sr. Also must not show that he lost his citizenship if he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro. It must match 100% on what 0bama has said until now.
Thing is, I don't think he can. If he could, why has he challenged every previous request to the tune of $2+ million?
