You are confusing - or allowing yourself to be confused - the liberal arts colleges with the technical degrees.

Yes, and so are many state school graduates. There are smart people everywhere, and the Ivies absolutely do not have a monopoly on them. I'm not saying that you said they did. I'm just saying that an Ivy degree does not automatically designate superior education or intelligence.
