Obama never published anything of significance in the Harvard Law Review.

My understanding is that he never published anything at all in the Harvard Law Review. This is unprecedented as usually the head of the Law Review publishes the most amount of articles. We have no records of him publishing anything scholarly either at Harvard or anywhere else. If I'm wrong about this, someone please let me know.

These are the reasons Obama fights so hard to hide his academic records. They would scream "Affirmative Action Baby."

No intelligent person could ever believe that Obama got into Harvard on merit. Even the most die hard liberal would concede that Obama is an "Affirmative Action Baby". The guy simply isn't that bright if you haven't already noticed. But I'm convinced that there is something of even greater significance here. There is something very embarrassing at the least on these records. I wouldn't be surprised if they have armed guards around them. There's something there, I'd bet anything on it. Believe me this is not a humble man. If Obama had fantastic Law Boards and great grades and great articles, you would hear about it night and day on the MSM.

The reason I said "anything of consequence" rather than "anything at all" is that Harvard Law Review, like any other law review, regularly publishes "Notes" and "Comments" which are written by law review staffers and editors and which are, by tradition, unsigned. These discuss new cases (Notes) or new trends in the case law (Comments). They are less sweeping in their scope and intellectual content than "Articles." Articles are sometimes written by students, but are more often penned by professors or practitioners.

There is nothing wrong with a law student including on a resume a reference to a law review Note or Comment he or she wrote. When I was involved in law student hiring I regularly saw those, and sometimes even went back and read some of the published material cited by students I was scheduled to interview.

The significance of this in Obama's case is that he has never taken credit, so far as I know, for anything published in the Harvard Law Review. This means either (a) he never wrote anything that was published, or (b) the stuff he wrote and got published is so bad or so inconsequential that he won't take credit for it. Frankly, either (a) or (b) is highly unusual for someone chosen as President of the Harvard Law Review. As I said, it screams "Affirmative Action Baby."
