Well...which is it; African American Family Day or a multicultural tradition. These two concepts are mutually exclusive.

And, simply put, African American Family Day is racist.

True, but if they insist on having such an event I think a different venue might be a wise idea. I mean, African American Family Day at the National Zoo? Seriously?
