A member of the Hawaii State Senate has said he believes Barack Obama is not releasing his long-form birth certificate because he may want to hide the identity or citizenship of his father.
Republican Sam Slom said the 'real issue' behind the reluctance of the U.S. President, who says he was born in Hawaii, to release full details from his birth certificate was unlikely to be because he wanted to hide his place of birth.
'My particular point of view... is that [Obama] probably was born [in Hawaii] and that the real issue is not the birth certificate, but what's on the birth certificate,' Slom said in an interview on New York's WABC 770 AM radio station.
In recent months, the birthplace of Obama has become a burning issue, with detractors of the President questioning whether he was in fact born in Kenya - even though Hawaii officials have certified he was born in the U.S. state.
Slom, who said he once lived in the same building as Obama in Hawaii's capital, said: 'My belief is that there is a birth certificate, he was born here, but that there is information that for reasons known only to him he doesn't want released.
As well as his birth certificate, the U.S. President has fought to keep his school records, employment records and medical records hidden.
'Why would anybody, let alone the president of the United States, spend millions of dollars in legal fees to keep that hidden?
'As long as that goes on,' he concluded, 'I think it's a legitimate issue,' Slom said.....

It wouldn’t even matter any more whether or not he was born in Hawaii IF he lied to get a COLB. If he LIED, he’s FRIED. Felony. Fraud. High Crime. On such a massive scale that it boggles the mind.
That’s just sloppy reporting. The Senator wasn’t claiming anything, just suggesting that might be something on the birth certificate.
I’ve always thought that the key is understanding what the term — NATURAL BORN means as the framers of the constitution used and understood it.
Without understanding that term, we would not know what we’re arguing about.
It has been argued that two conditions should apply to be NATURAL BORN as originally understood by the framers :
1) You must be born in the United States or its territories.
2) Your PARENTS (both father and mother) MUST BE AMERICAN CITIZENS AT THE TIME OF YOUR BIRTH.
So if this definition of NATURAL BORN is right, the Birth Certificate issue is only one aspect of it. Even if the Long Form Certificate shows that Obama was born in the USA, Obama must show that his FATHER was an American Citizen AT THE TIME OF HIS BIRTH.
People have been harping about his birth certificate, but I believe the key is knowing the CITIZENSHIP of his father when he was born.
This, I am afraid will also apply to Bobby Jindal ( who I am a fan of ).
I am 100% sure tha Jindal meets the first criteria ( born in the USA ). But I don’t think he meets the second ( Both his parents being citizens at the time of his birth ).
We keep hearing 0bama spent millions, is there anywhere this is actually sourced, documented, verified? I like my facts to be strapped tight to my fanny.

At the present, we can only speculate as to whether BO was born in Hawaii, Kenya or somewhere else. We can only speculate as to whether his real father was BO Sr., Frank Marshall Davis or somebody else.
In reality, those are lesser matters and only about one man. The greater matter is that we have such a large portion of the American sheeple so dumbed down and so easily manipulated by the enemedia that the same thing can happen again with another nobody whenever the enemedia and their puppet masters decide.

Exactly just like moswt Birthers do NOT claim he was born in Kenya. They want first and foremost the truth. The theory that there is no Hi BC showing he wasm born in Hi is just that, speculation just like the Hi Senator is speculating. And there is speculation because 0dumbo IS hiding something..
One Q to freepers. What is that ledger listing with 0dumbo on it that was released by AP as having been there all the time?
Would 0dumbo’s name have been listed in that ledger if there was only a “ certification” of birth?
Did it prove anything?
It's the total amount paid to the firm to cover legal expenses. There's no way of knowing how much was spent on this single controversy, but common sense should tell you it's not "millions."

The meaning of Natural Born is the issue. We already know that Obama’s father was not a U.S. citizen. So I don’t know what having the long form birth certificate would do for us, unless Obama lied about who his father really is.
Unfortunately, the courts won’t touch it. And I doubt the courts will touch it, until a state adopts an eligibility verification that defines Natural Born and somebody challenges it.
Im pretty sure the father is unknown. And lets not forget, Øbama is the victim in all this and he’s under a lot stress, blah blah blah

The longer this goes on, the easier it is for me to believe that he WAS, IN FACT, groomed by Frank Marshall Davis, and his commie minions for the role he is playing today. It’s all too slick to be happenstance.
