Republicans are in a powerful position to get major spending cuts if they stick together and are resolute about not raising the debt ceiling.

I do not believe the fear tactics that are being used that by not raising the debt ceiling there would be armageddon.

On the contrary it would force our government to make the really tough decisions they have been postponing for decades re major government spending cuts.

“The FIX is in” just like it always is.
The fight by RINOs was tremendous (fake) and many had battle scars to show (lots of wet and soiled underwear) but came through the “battle” with just enough blood left in them to COMPROMISE our future away.

Was the outcome in anyone’s mind in doubt? Of course the debt ceiling was going to be raised, no matter what.

But you have to give the GOP credit, that was a really good fake battle they played out.

Republicans, the party of compromise and “go along to get along.”

Anyone with common sense can realize that when you reduce spending you negate the requirement to raise your debt ceiling. These Republican idiots (traitors) are saying that they will go along with the Ponzi scheme if somehow some cuts are made in spending and at the same time a new pile of money is generated by increased taxing of the sheeple that put them into office.

We are at a tipping point and once over the top, we will never recover.

Maybe I'm missing something but it seems reducing spending will negate the need to raise the debt ceiling. More importantly so far discussions do not address the root cause of increased federal spending nor the solution. They should be discussing lower the debt ceiling!

The cause is a Congress who has expanded their powers far beyond the enumerated powers in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution thereby creating a costlier federal government. They only effective, long term solution is to eliminate all Unconstitutional federal agencies and Unconstitutional federal programs not in compliance with any of the enumerated powers in Article 1 Section 8. Doing so will drastically reduce the size and cost of government, reduce the debt ceiling and return the country back to the limited government principles the founding fathers intended when they wrote the Constitution. Any other actions will be nothing more than smoke and mirrors!

I cannot stomach RINOs like Kirk, McInsane, the Witches of Maine, and Grayed Ham, but if they really do stick together on the debt limit issue, it will be a good day for our Republic.
