Equality Maryland has called on state Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler to step in and investigate the case as a hate crime.
“called on” ? Had this been the reverse (two whites beating up a black) there would be no need to “call for” an investigation of at hate crime - it would be done automatically. There mere fact that two whites beat a black is enough in today’s society to make it a hate crime.
Yup they would be charged with a double hate crime if that was possible - for beating on a black and a gay. And every employee of that place esp the cameraman would have been dragged into custody already
