My personal opinion is that some liberal loon convinced WalMart they needed to emulate Target but in ‘green’. I hate going there so much so that I will go to other stores so as to escape the ‘green’ environment.
You are right! See: GORE STORE NO MORE (Wal-Mart: "Green" Doesn't Sell)
Former Al Gore senior aide Leslie Dach dared to dream:

In July 2006, Dach was installed as the public relations chief for Wal-Mart. He drafted a number of other progressives into the company, seeking to change the company’s way of doing business: its culture, its politics, and most importantly its products.

Out went drab, inexpensive merchandise so dear to low-income Americans. In came upscale organic foods, “green” products, trendy jeans, and political correctness. In other words, Dach sought to expose poor working Americans to the “good life” of the wealthy, environmentally conscious Prius driver.

How did that all work out?

As I think about this I have notice that WalMart has not been ragged and nagged and ‘threatened’ with the attempt to have unions forced upon them... Maybe they struck a different ‘green’ deal with the leftist.

What has amazed me is the ‘foreign’ foods of ethnic origins that now fill their shelves.

Thanks for the info in that post. I knew WalMart Corp had been liberal invaded. That accounts for such bad policies as it's former CEO pushing for mandatory CFL bulbs etc and their GREEN kick. I had read the Corporate Officers Bio's and knew it.

I tried to tell all this to a California Freeper {I can't recall the name but he claimed to be a plumber or owns a plumbing company} who thinks the sun rises and sets on Walmart Corp. He thinks they keep unions out and deny him a Super Store. Between this and the rest of the article it proves straight from the corps mouth itself what I told the Freeper was accurate LOL.

I hope the new CEO turns back the damage and goes back to some of the older policies that made Walmart to start with.
