On Friday night, the Fox News Channel debuted a Hannity special, Behind the Bias: The History of Liberal Media. The promo declared: Double standards? Groundless attacks? Blatant bias? Sean calls out the mainstream media! Dont miss Behind the Bias: The History of Liberal Media.
The Media Research Center made available to Fox News Channel producers video clips from our archive going back more than 20 years and they are scattered throughout the hour as are soundbites from MRC President Brent Bozell.
The hour began with what Sean Hannity described as how and why this bias began, illustrated with several classic examples of left-wing journalistic advocacy and/or denigration of conservatives. Watch the segment, about seven minutes in length, after the jump:

I am not a big fan of Sean Hannity, but he was awesome in this investigation.
Sean and Brent Bozell utterly disemboweled the Democrat Party prostitute media, often by just letting them speak.
It is obvious that the media and the institutions of education
are the prime targets of the Marxist.
Dang I missed it. Thank you for the post!

I’d rather have friends like Sean.
I enjoyed the show. I wish Fox would do more of the same but different.
Thank you TIgerClaws :-)
“It is obvious that the media and the institutions of education are the prime targets of the Marxist.”
They’re accomplices not targets.
“Theyre accomplices not targets.”
Yes, I should have said “were targets”.
They certainly bagged both.
Hannity is at his best at stuff like this, as a REPORTER and not so much as a talking head.
Great, great show, I think it will go down in history as one of his best, and it SHOULD be shown in every School of Journalism in the country!
(Not holding my breath on that one.)
Really excellent material. I listened to all the clips since I am temporarily without a tv.
Thanks!!

It was okay so far as it went. But the left bias reached its pinnacle during the McCarthy years. They give us a brief photo of Edward R. Murrow and never mention why he’s part of the left machine. And, probably in deference to young Chris, they never even flash a picture of Mike Wallace, Sr.
In the Lott segment, no one mentions that “states’ rights,” not segregation, was the issue that impelled Conservatives of both parties.
Conservatives win despite, this special tells us, liberal news bias; but the special doesn’t add liberal public education bias which is at least as powerful as the now-declining dem-leaning media.
The Rather-fraud was uncovered without any help from GOP or GOP-leaning media. Without the pajamas media, Rather would still be at CBS. But if you’re going to cover the 2004 election, why not cover the Swiftees? Ted Koppel’s cross-examination of John O’Neill has to be one of the best all-time proofs of media bias, ever: Koppel argues, using his own interview of a Communist Vietnamese official as proof, that O’Neill’s VERBATIM CITING of Brinkley’s lie- and error-packed biography of Kerry is a lie! And what about Chris Matthews’ near-battery of Michelle Maulkin when she stated that O’Neill’s book suggested that Kerry’s Purple Heart was the result of a self-inflicted wound? Never mind that the “self-infliction” was accidental. (For that matter, no one yet has faulted Brinkley for utter negligence, at best, in his research of candidate Kerry. And how about VP candidate John Edwards’ post-election revelation—”God, he was a terrorist?”
And nothing about the lack of outrage at Sandy Burglar’s theft from the Library of Congress?
And, of course, nothing on the web of lies already surrounding this administration and its “leader.”
I know, I know—there’s just not enough time to cover all the evidence. But maybe next time, Sean could spend less time on Juan & Valerie and more on more egregious examples of bias and downright fraud.
Brent Bozell is terrific, he has been on the Lieberal Media’s case for 25+ years. He started the Media Research Center in 1987! Thanks to Mr Bozell for all his great work and here’s to a blessed Easter for this stalwart Conservative Catholic!
