Obama knew that if he displayed his long form birth certificate---the one he already had or the one he could have ordered from Hawaii---his political career could have been destroyed once the public saw some information on the certificate that would have exposed Obama as a liar and a fraud concerning what he had previously told the public about his background.

That is exactly what I have been saying all along -- although not as eloquently as you said it.
