I am not upset, and I am not defending Trump like you think. You are confusing analytical extrapolation with advocation. I have complimented some of the things that Trump has been doing for us and giving him credit were it is due. He has done our cause a great service in several very important areas.

But my overall synopsis is that Trump has no intention of running with this all the way. Trump is Trump. He cannot and will not change his basic character. He may have changed his outlook of Abortion, etc, but he is still the incurable Populist that he has most always been and shares no real Political ideal with Conservatives.

He has no intention of taking on the Presidency. He is merely out to take Obama down any way he can and I am all for it. Our real candidate will step up after he paves the way. That is what I believe.

I am not confusing anything. Fact is, Trump is the one engaging in obfuscation.

The other day I gave you the benefit of the doubt because you are a fellow FReeper in good standing and believe conservatism is best for America. But you are defending Trump. Why? Because you want to keep your options open. You said he wouldn't run a 3rd party effort. Says who? Trump! That shows a level of trust that is not consistent with Trump's history.

More defense of Trump.

While I give you and some others around FR the benefit of the doubt, generally speaking, conservatives should not be running around giving liberals like Trump, Romney and Giuliani the benefit of the doubt on naything. Its the job of FReepers to speak the truth.
