This wasn't a permit hearing. This was (besides a circus) a "peace bond" hearing. He lost. Consequently, he has been legally restrained from visiting the mosque, or its adjoining property. That, of course, is absurd and SURELY won't withstand appellate review.
It would be interesting what would happen if he did show up. Would they arrest him, per the terms of the peace bond, and if so, then what? He could, because of his confinement, then file a habeas petition with the federal government. In fact, that might be an effective strategy.
JUST DO IT! Let the authorities react to us, instead of us reacting to them.
